My 6 top pizza places in London

In celebration of #NationalPizzaDay today I thought I’d put together up a couple of my favourite pizza spots in London so you know where you should be checking out! These are in no particular order and all stand out in their own ways for having AMAZING pizza. The dream.

Santa Maria

Santa Maria is the perfect full-on foodie experience from amazing pizza down to customer service. The pizza served in Santa Maria, is exactly the same as the pizza you can eat on the streets of Naples, using the same ingredients and adopting the same cooking method. If you’re in Ealing, Chelsea or Fitzrovia you’ll definitely want to check them out. They also now have a vegan pizza menu! You can have a read of my review of Santa Maria Chelsea here.

Pizza East

A place you’ve probably walked past a million times on a busy corner in Shoreditch and never thought about trying but let me tell you, you are MISSING out! They pretty much do all-day pizza, so if you’re into pizza for your weekend brunch along with so many other amazing things on the menu like lasagne, mac n cheese, baked eggs, anti-pasti… the possibilities are endless! They have locations in Shoreditch, Kentish Town and Portobello, so all bases are covered!

Voodoo Rays

Probably one of my favourite places in London, typical New York pizza, served by the slice! The Dalston spot is a go-to after a night out as they close at 3am. And the pizza is DAMN good. If you’re lucky enough to live close to one of their locations, Shoreditch Boxpark, Dalston or Peckham, they can delivery 12” pizzas too. You can never go wrong with the Buffalo Margharita or Pepperoni, they also do gluten-free and vegan pizza too so everybody’s happy!

Franco Manca

The fact that there’s one pretty much everywhere makes life and eating good pizza SO much easier. So affordable, and so good. I’m never disappointed with Franco Manca. The traditional Napoli sourdough base is so amazing too and goes AMAZINGLY dipped in chilli oil. Mmmmm… Check out my review here.

Crust Bros

Leopard print walls and pizza boxes get a yes from me, but not only that. They have a simple menu where you can create your own pizza, as well as it being SUPER affordable (and next to Tonight Josephine so perfect for a pre-cocktail snack), they do a £5 Insta special everyday. Comes in handy if you work in the Waterloo area, or even if you don’t! They’ve also recently started a Bottomless Pizza & Prosecco brunch… yes please!

The pizza Gods understood sometimes we didn’t want thin crust all of the time and so created Chicago deep dish pizza and conveniently placed Japes in the middle of Soho, between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Rd stations. If you love deep pan and cheesy, Japes is made for you, you can read my recent review here.

Picky Wops

Modern Italian, vegan pizza done SO passionately! You gotta love an Italians passion for pizza and at Picky Wops it really does come through in the taste of the pizzas. All vegan with a massive range of alternative and healthy pizza doughs, like turmeric and hemp base. You can find them in Peckham, Brixton and Fulham.
