Make Phillipines your next destination...

Anybody else so sick of this cold London weather that they need to plan their next escape? Yes please!!

Busy putting together my 2019 travel plans, this year I want to do some more European city breaks as well as one or two big trips. After having the best time in Thailand last year I'm desperate to explore more of Asia and I've been seeing more and more of the stunning Phillipines lately and just HAVE to go! Here are a couple of the reasons why…

Palawan

Palawan looks like a little piece of paradise, perfect for island hopping and beautiful beaches, one of over 7,000 islands, it's typically described as paradise. If you're like me and love to find those hidden gems whilst you're travelling then Port Barton is the place to go, a less famous destination in Palawan means the beaches are not so crowded and nicer to relax and you can have all of the space to snorkel or kayak in serenity.

El Nido

El Nido is the best for island hopping, here you can find gorgeous rock formations, idyllic pure white-sand beaches and clear waters, world-class scuba diving, and luxurious beach-front resorts. Yes to all of that for a relaxing baecation please! You can find search affordable luxury hoels in El Nido here.

Banaue Rice Terraces

The Philippines is full of natural beauty, but when I found the

Banaue Rice Terraces it really did stun me. It's definiely a bucket list destination and reminded me of the beautiful rice fields I experienced in Bali, these picturesque rice terraces are man-made (the Ifugao tribe carved thousands of these step-like terraces in the mountains with their bare hands) and really stand out among the others in the mountainous region of the Cordilleras, they are also reported to cover around 4,000 miles!

Hinatuan Enchanted River

Hinatuan Enchanted River

Another place that has come up a lot as a must-visit in my research about the Phillipines is the Hinatuan Enchanted River. This magical river in the province of Surigao del Sur is believed to be mystical because of it’s clear blue crystal water, even down to the deepest parts. It’s locally believed to be guarded by fairies and other nature spirits known as engkanto. It looks absolutely stunning!

It can be quite time consuming and frustrating searching through hotel and flight deals for these kind of holidays so be sure to check out Philippines Travel Package where you can easily book the entire package in one affordable place!

Also when you’re looking for travel insurance for these types of trips be sure to shop around a bit to find the best deals, or take a look for the average cost of travel insurance.
